My fourth book-design collaboration with Derek Eller Gallery (in this instance, partnering with Harper’s) was the first publication of work by the Brooklyn-based artist JJ Manford (b. 1983). The 96-page volume focused on JJ’s recent creative output, featuring more than 70 paintings, along with several details highlighting his distinctive use of Flashe pigment on linen and canvas, as well as an essay by Gilles Heno-Coe.
