A number of participants in the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters and Filmmaker’s Labs—including Walter Bernstein, Tamara Jenkins, Richard LaGravenese, Alison Maclean, Tom Noonan, and Ron Nyswaner—spoke with me about their experiences at the acclaimed “creative boot camp” for independent filmmakers for this intallment of “The Art of Screenwriting,” the event series copresented by Scenario and The Museum of the Moving Image, whose chief curator, David Schwartz, proposed a collaboration soon after the first issue of the screenwriting journal appeared.
