An incredible location, perfect weather, and a lively crowd of contributors, supporters, subscribers, and colleagues combined to create one of the most memorable Esopus issue launches ever, at the Museum of Modern Art’s Library and Archives in midtown Manhattan. It couldn’t have been a more fitting context for the launch of Esopus 23. The issue’s installment of our long-running Modern Artifacts series, copresented with MoMA’s Archives, features 60 years’ worth of documents and photos related to events in MoMA’s iconic sculpture garden, which the balcony adjoining the Library’s Reading Room overlooks.
