In response to the coronavirus pandemic—and more to the point, in an attempt to feel some sense of agency in the darkest part of first Covid wave in the spring of 2020—I decided to create one new 20-second instrumental song each week to act as a soundtrack for the hand-washing regimen deemed essential by public health experts. I ended up with 13 of these, and offered them as weekly free digital downloads to subscribers.
