The consolidation of the art world has led to significant changes for independent writers, artists, dealers, and publications, including Esopus, which at the time of this event had just published artist Neil Goldberg’s book Other People’s Prescriptions as the first title from its Esopus Books imprint. For this event, Goldberg, critic Brian Boucher, Candace Moeller (Director of Cristin Tierney Gallery, where the event was held) and I addressed the evolving landscape of arts journalism and publishing while exploring what these changes might mean for the art world at large.
