After suspending publication of Esopus and placing its archive at Colby College, I found it hard to imagine giving up book publishing, editing, and design entirely. In 2023, I decided to start a new imprint, Mirrorical, which would offer unexpected perspectives on never-before-published material from creators working across a broad range of disciplines, including art, film, literature, and music. By limiting production to one volume a year, Mirrorical has the time, resources, and singular focus to offer books that will not only match but exceed the depth and high production quality of Esopus publications. Mirrorical’s first major publication, Rian Dundon: Passenger, was launched in September 2024.
